We envision Temple Emanu El as a family engaged in Jewish learning, Jewish living and the expression of Jewish values. Our synagogue shall be a home for life-long Jewish learning enabling all members of our kehillah (community) to expand their understanding of the texts, traditions, values and language of our people. Our congregational home will be a center for a wide variety of learning opportunities that will enrich each individual throughout all of the stages of his or her life.
We recognize that family is the primary educator of any student. As such, in order to best learn and live Jewishly, we must work in partnership between your family, the school and synagogue. Through family education we hope to create wonderful Jewish memories that your family will have forever. Temple Emanu El has many family education opportunities including:
- Monthly Tot Shabbat for our youngest members
- Family Retreat for Mechina families
- Family programs by age group through the Religious School
- Ma’asei Mitzvah (Mitzvah Makers) for b’nai mitzvah families
- Holiday celebrations
