Our congregation maintains an extensive library as a source of Jewish enrichment as well as for personal enjoyment. The library provides support and guidance for all levels of Judaic education. The Library supports the curriculum of the preschool and religious school as well as the personal education of our congregants. Our library makes available appropriate materials, instructional activities, storytelling and reader advisory tools. Our librarian provides research guidance for the Temple staff and school faculty and helps to locate and secure articles from outside sources.
Circulation Policy
Temple Emanu El has a policy for the circulation of library materials. Library materials, except reference books, may be borrowed for three weeks. Within three weeks, the item must be either returned or renewed. Fines are not issued for overdue items. A patron will be notified about overdue materials. If the books or other items are not returned, the patron will be charged $25.00 per book and another $5.00 per book for processing expenses.
