Our Jewish-oriented program provides a safe, nurturing and supportive environment in which your preschooler can learn to play and socialize under the direction of Julie Rosenthal, Preschool Director since 1995. Personal contact with the clergy fosters a sense of Jewish identity and encourages the learning of basic Jewish traditions. Children as young at eighteen months are accepted. The program includes the use of our private playground, a large muscle room, music and gym classes, daily art, science, math, social studies and literature activities.
Temple Emanu El’s Preschool is A Star Rated in the State of Ohio Step up to Quality program. This means that our preschool exceeds Ohio’s childcare licensing standards. We have lower staff to child ratios in our classrooms, most of our teachers have credentials or degrees in early childhood education and undergo specialized training.
The program operates weekdays, 51 weeks a year, except for specified Jewish and secular holidays, from 7:30 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. We offer full and half-day schedules on a daily or weekly basis to suit your family's individual needs. A Kosher-style hot lunch, snacks and beverages are provided.
