The Temple Emanu El Religious School is divided into 4 blocks:
Mechina (Preparation or Readiness) Grades PreK-2
These classes meet on Sunday mornings from 9:30-11:45 a.m.
Basis (Base) Grades 3-5
These classes meet twice a week; once on Sunday mornings from 9:30 - 11:45 and once during the week. The students have a choice of one of the following midweek programs: Tuesday, at our Solon Satellite, Thursday at Temple Emanu El from 4:00 - 5:45.
Gesher (Bridge or Transition) Grades 6-7
6th Graders meet twice a week; once on Sunday mornings from 9:30 - 11:45 and once during the week. The students have a choice of one of the following midweek programs: Tuesday, at our Solon Satellite, Thursday at Temple Emanu El from 4:00 - 5:45.
7th Graders meet on Sunday morning from 9:30 - 11:45 plus additional work to fulfils their B’Nai Mitzvah Requirements. In addition students start their B’nai Mitzvah training with the Cantor.
TEEn Kolel (High School) Grades 8-12.
8th - 12th grade meet on Monday evenings from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Students study both specific grade level curriculum and sign up for contemporary topics of interest. There are also opportunities to participate in youth group meetings and activities during this time. Opportunities to participate in mitzvah programs throughout the year are a part of this curriculum.
