GROUPS
Women of Temple Emanu El (WOTEE) is a group of enthusiastic, friendly, committed women who provide valuable services and support to the Religious School, Confirmands and B’nai Mitzvot, sponsor Oneg Shabbats, manage the Temple gift shop and run a variety of programs, activities and fundraisers. First year membership is free to new Temple members.
Brotherhood is a group of dedicated Jewish men who provide fellowship and support to our congregation and our community. Brotherhood's purpose is to enhance the feeling of social, religious, spiritual and professional community in our Temple. First year membership is free to new Temple members.
Stars of David is a Jewish adoption information and support network. Temple Emanu El has started a local chapter open to the entire community. For more information, please contact Andrea Rubin, Membership Director or call 216/454-1300 ext. 203.
COMMITTEES
Administrative Committee consults on temple management and personnel issues. This committee is also responsible for facility and rental issues as well as oversight of the cemetery.
Communications Committee manages advertising, marketing, publicity and public relations.
Finance & Budget Committee oversees Temple revenue and expenses through the budgeting process; oversees endowments, investments; and memorials and dedications. Membership in this group is by invitation.
Learning Congregation Committee oversees the Religious School curriculum as well as early childhood, adult and family education and the library. Participation in this group is by invitation.
Membership Committee is comprised of new member recruitment, integration and retention.
Tikkun Olam (Repair the World) Committee plans and promotes community service programs and social action events concerned with learning and teaching Jewish concepts of social justice.
Special Events/Fundraising Committee works on special events as needed.
Worship & Ritual Committee provides oversight and direction for religious services and participation.
Lunch Bunch is a program for volunteers who help out in the Temple office during weekday lunch hours by answering phones and assisting with administrative work.
