Temple Emanu El Early Engagement programs, intended for parents and children from birth to age six, bring Shabbat, holiday and festival observances, and Jewish customs to the appropriate level for children. These events help parents get more involved with Jewish rituals so that they can start or enhance traditions at home.

 

Studies have shown that the early engagement of young children and their families with Jewish observance and culture increases their feeling of belonging to the Jewish community.
